Less fat = better erections

According to Italian researchers, exercising and losing weight may improve sexual function for obese men having difficulties in getting an erection, reuters.com reports.

Study author Katherine Esposito of the Center for Obesity Management, Second University of Naples, Italy writes: "Our data demonstrate that lifestyle changes, including a reduced calorie diet and increased exercise, improve erectile function in obese men and resulted in about one-third of men with erectile dysfunction regaining sexual function after treatment."

The main reason cited for better performance on erectile function tests is the Improved blood circulation, which benefits overall cardiovascular health, Esposito wrote in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
